3D Configurator: How to Design Your Seat Cover Online

The BikeSellier 3D configurator is the tool that's shaking up the way you customise a 50cc seat. For the first time, you can build your custom seat cover right from your screen, with a realistic 3D preview in real time. No more surprises when the parcel lands: what you see is exactly what you get. In this guide, we'll walk you through exactly how to use our configurator to create the seat cover of your dreams. And if you want the ultimate in customisation, give our 3D Configurator for 50cc Bike Seat Covers a go.

What Is the BikeSellier 3D Configurator?

Our 3D configurator is an interactive web app that lets you customise every single part of your seat cover. Built specifically for BikeSellier, it combines a 3D model of your seat with our full catalogue of materials and colours. The result: an immersive, intuitive customisation experience you can access from any device with an internet connection.

A Tool Anyone Can Use

You don't need to be a design or tech wizard to use our configurator. The interface is built to be intuitive and guides you step by step. On average, our customers create their custom cover in under 10 minutes. And if you're torn between a few designs, you can save your creations and come back to them later.

Works on Every Device

The 3D configurator runs on desktop (Windows, Mac), tablet and smartphone (iOS, Android). The interface adapts automatically to your screen size. We recommend a screen of at least 10 inches for the best experience, but the configurator works perfectly fine on a phone too.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Pick Your Bike Model

The first step is to select your 50cc bike model from our catalogue. We cover the main brands and models on the French market:

First up, Derbi: Senda DRD, DRD Pro, DRD Racing, Gilera SMT/RCR.

Next, Beta: RR 50 Enduro, RR 50 SM, RR 50 Racing.

Then Yamaha: DT 50 R, DT 50 SM, DT 50 X.

Then Rieju: MRT 50 SM, MRT 50 Trophy, MR Racing.

Then KTM: SX 50, SX 50 Mini.

Then Sherco: 50 SE-R, 50 SM-R.

Then Fantic: Casa 50, Performance 50.

Then Honda: CRF 50, CRF 110.

Then MBK: X-Limit 50.

Then Aprilia: SX 50, RX 50.

Once you've picked your model, the configurator loads the 3D pattern made specifically for your seat. This pattern faithfully reproduces the shape and dimensions of your bike's original seat.

Step 2: Choose Your Materials

Your seat cover is split into several zones (or panels) that you can customise one by one. For each zone, choose from our three material families:

High-Density Textured Synthetic Leather

Our most versatile material. Available in more than 20 colours (black, white, red, blue, yellow, orange, green, pink, grey, purple, brown, and plenty more), this textured synthetic leather gives you a clean look and endless customisation options. Water- and UV-resistant, it suits any kind of riding.

Premium Alcantara

For a high-end finish with a soft, velvety feel. Alcantara adds a touch of luxury to your seat while giving you a pleasant, natural grip. Available in a range of understated, elegant colours. Perfect for the main seating area.

Anti-Slip Grip

The go-to material for sporty riders. Its waffle texture gives you maximum hold that keeps you locked in place whatever you throw at it: hard acceleration, braking, cornering, wheelies. Available in several colours so it blends seamlessly into your design.

Step 3: Pick Your Colours

For each zone of the seat, choose the colour you want from our palette. The 3D render updates instantly, so you can try out different combos until you land on the one you love. A few tips for designs that hit the mark:

Classic two-tone: two contrasting colours (black/red, black/blue, white/black) for a sharp racing look.

Bold three-tone: add a third colour for a more original, eye-catching design.

Premium monochrome: a single colour with different textures (synthetic leather + grip) for an understated, elegant look.

Matched to your bike: pick up the colours from your bodywork for a perfect match.

Step 4: Add Your Custom Text

This is the step that makes your cover truly one of a kind. You can add:

Your first name or nickname: the most popular bit of personalisation, usually placed at the rear of the seat.

Your race number: for riders who take part in races or meet-ups.

Your team name: show which crew of riders you roll with.

Free text: a slogan, a quote or any message you fancy.

For each piece of lettering, choose the font, the embroidery thread colour and the exact placement on the seat. The 3D render shows the embroidery in real time so you get a true preview.

Step 5: Extra Options

BikeSellier offers several extra options to take your customisation even further:

Raised embroidery: your lettering is embroidered in relief for a premium 3D effect.

Custom logo: add the logo of your choice (team, sponsor, brand).

Contrast stitching: choose the colour of the visible thread for that extra detail.

Extra padding: add more foam for greater comfort.

Step 6: Confirm and Order

Design finished? Spin the 3D model round from every angle to check the final result. Happy with it? Add to cart and place your order. You'll get a confirmation email with a visual summary of your customisation.

Tips for a Design That Works

Play With Contrast

The best designs combine contrasting colours. A dark base with bright accents (black/orange, black/fluo yellow) creates a strong visual punch. On the flip side, similar tones (grey/black, navy/black) give a more low-key but just as elegant result.

Think About How You Ride

If you mostly ride cross or enduro, go for grip on the seating area and the sides. For road use, synthetic leather or Alcantara will be more comfortable day to day. The beauty of the configurator is being able to mix materials to suit your needs.
